guided tour
The Forest Service of Parnitha promotes environmental education
in the basis of managing and protecting the National Park of
Parnitha, in order to make the beauties of Parnitha known to
the public. Two National Park Guides are hired seasonally
each year, who guide schools and other groups
to the mountain. The age of the participating children is taken
into consideration, so that the appropriate paths will be chosen,
along with the duration of the tour. The tour starts from the
Forest Service of Parnitha at 9 a.m. each day except Sundays
and ends at 1 p.m.

The
procedure is the following: each interested must send an application
to the Forest Service of Parnitha, where the number, the schoolgrade
and the desirable date of the tour must be mentioned. The application
shall be sent to the following fax number: 0030-2102434064.
The Guide will then contact the interested school and arrange
the tour. This includes:

For Elementary schools, walk to a path without climbing for
about 1 hour and following, environmental games. where children
assimilate the values of nature.guided tour

For Highschools, Lyceums and Environmental Groups , walk to
a path of various difficulty, demonstration of the most important
plants and vegetation units, briefing for the problems of the
Park and conservation.

During
the tour, the Guides distribute to the group

members brochures with information about flora, fauna and recreation
in the National Park. Finally, the guided tour is completed
